Hop on hop off bus , Athens

by admin

After landing in Athens, we took a cab ( 43 euro ) to our hotel, checked in and slept. The capital of Greece is like nowhere else on earth. It fuses the ancient with the modern, melding historic sights and monuments with lively eateries and a vibrant culture. It has something for everyone – in fact, the only thing it doesn’t have is a positive reputation. And we think it’s about time that changes because Athens is truly a charming city. Yes, it has its fair share of economic and political woes – I’m not denying it – but the sheer amount of culture on offer here warrants a short visit, at the very least.

Exploring Athens can mean lots of walking and climbing, a stressful endeavor in the Greek sun or if you’re short on time. A hop-on hop-off City Sightseeing bus tour lets you cover more ground in less time, without using any extra energy. View the must-sees, learn their history from the onboard commentary, and hop on and off at the stops that interest you. Plus, explore beyond central Athens on Piraeus or Riviera routes.

The next day around 9 in the morning we boarded the Hop On Hop Off bus. It’s the most convenient sources of local travel there and you need to pre-book it’s turbo pass. It’s a cheaper and a more convenient option with a 30 minute frequency time schedule. And I have no complains. You can also try renting a local cab but a strange thing is that in Athens , every petrol station has different fuel prices.

Book your preferred tour ticket and board the open-top City Sightseeing double-decker bus at any of the applicable stops. Then, don the provided earphones to learn about the sights you see via commentary.

For the full tour, hop-on at Syntagma Square (Stop 1) for the Athens Line or the Cruise Terminal (Stop 1) for the Piraeus Line. However, customers can join the tour at any of the tour stops along the route.
